About Us
Our Founder: Jona Harvey
Jona Harvey has been running Architectural Salvage Network for many years. She got immersed in the salvage world by locating buildings and salvage for her own projects. She began to see how she could help and support folks who are trying to do the same thing.
Jona began to form working relationships with architects, designers, builders and craftsmen and the people who run salvage yards of all descriptions. These are the people who extend themselves in order to salvage, house, market and ultimately re-vitalize our Architectural Heritage pieces. These are great folks to be around and great values to share.
She finds the salvage world to be a wonderfully collaborative atmosphere in which to work, with all artists and stakeholders pulling together in the same direction, for the sake of the project, ultimately passionate about saving and re-using the pieces of art that are endangered!
Jona became quite accustomed to working in a collaborative atmosphere through many, many years spent in the world of Professional Theatre, TV and Film. It’s pretty much the same thing there too; a very large group of artists working harmoniously toward the achievement of a shared goal. It’s exciting to work together toward the fulfillment of an aesthetic vision, especially with the added higher purpose of launching important pieces of our architectural heritage into their new future!
